Getting Started with Parcelify Storefront

When you install Parcelify Storefront, you will have access to the Parcelify admin application through your shop’s installed apps.

You can immediately begin creating zones and shipping rates, but they will not be available until the Storefront feature is enabled. The Storefront feature is disabled upon first installation because it would otherwise prevent customers from being able to checkout until at least one shipping rate is created.

Creating Shipping Rates

The base documentation for Shipping Zones and Shipping Rates applies to creating and maintaining both for Parcelify Storefront.

It is recommended to have at least one active shipping rate created before enabling Parcelify Storefront.

Enabling Parcelify Storefront

To enable Parcelify Storefront, simply click the “Enable Storefront Shipping Rates” button on the main page within the Parcelify application.

Note: It can take up to 5 minutes for the change to take effect for customers.

Enabling Storefront will perform the following:

  • Install theme integrations
  • Create weight based Delivery Method Definitions on each zone of the default Shipping Profile
  • Create Product for each Shipping Rate

Disabling Parcelify Storefront

To disable Parcelify Storefront, simply click the “Disable Storefront Shipping Rates” button on the main page within the Parcelify application.

Note: It can take up to 5 minutes for the change to take effect for customers.

Disabling the Parcelify Storefront feature will reverse the steps performed when enabling Storefront:

  • Remove theme integrations
  • Delete weight based Delivery Method Definitions on each zone of the default Shipping Profile
  • Delete Product for each Shipping Rate

Disabling the Storefront feature will remove the feature entirely from the store and customers will no longer receive any Parcelify shipping rates as a result.
