What is Parcelify Protect?

Parcelify protect is an optional service offered at checkout that includes free returns, a 30-day price match guarantee, and parcel insurance (via Shipsurance).

What’s included with Free returns?

A shopper may request to return some or all of the items they purchased to the store they purchased from.

Certain conditions and limitations apply as outlined in our purchaser TOS.

What is your Price Match Guarantee?

Our Parcelify Protect Price Match Guarantee is as follows:

If an item is on sale for more than 72 hours within 30 days of your purchase, you may request a partial refund equal to the difference in price.

Of course certain eligibility requirements must be met and limitations apply as outlined in our purchaser TOS.

How soon do I need to submit a Free Return Shipping or Price Match claim?

Free Return Shipping and Price Match claims should be submitted as soon as possible.

  • Shoppers - Please notify the shop you wish to return products or be reimbursed as soon as a problem is discovered
  • Merchants - As soon as you are notified please submit the appropriate claim to Parcelify for further review

All claims of this nature must be filed within 60 days of purchase.

What products are covered by parcel insurance?

In general, parcel insurance covers against physical loss, damage, or theft of a package in transit or shortly after delivery.

Are there any exclusions?

Errors in shipping caused by the shop itself as well as some products (such as perishable goods and high-value luxury items) may not be covered. Please see specific sections of this FAQ, our Purchaser Terms of Service, or Merchant Terms of Service for further details.

Free Returns

Parcelify Protect includes up to three free return shipments per order.

Are there any limits to free return coverage?

Up to three returns may be covered per order, or we may provide replacement products instead of asking for the item to be returned. Finally, orders are reimbursed for the total cost of return shipping or $2500 USD, whichever is lower.

Are any products restricted from free returns?

Customized/personalized goods, perishable goods, dangerous goods (i.e. damaged batteries), oversized items, and products specifically marked as ‘no-returns’ upon purchase may all be considered ineligible for Free Returns.

How long are products eligible for free returns?

Free returns are covered for 30 days from date of delivery.

Price Match Guarantee

What products are eligible to price match?

So long as the sale is posted on the same product (same SKU, size, color, etc) from the same store within 30 days of purchase, the product is eligible for our price match guarantee.

Are there any limitations to price matching?

Eligible refunds are limited to 50% of the order total or $2500 USD, whichever is lower.

In addition, there are cases that are not eligible for our Price Match Guarantee. Please see the section on Price Match Limitations.

How long is a product covered under the Price Match Guarantee?

Products are covered by this guarantee for up to 30 days from date of purchase

Purchaser FAQs

These questions apply to the individual making a purchase from a store that offers Parcelify Protect.

How do I initiate a free return?

Please Email the shop you purchased from within 30 days of purchase. The shop will review your concern and provide further instructions on how your return should be handled.

How do I submit a price match claim?

Similar to free returns, please email the shop you purchased from within 30 days with a copy of your original receipt and a screenshot or valid URL link to the sale item to the merchant.

Do I submit claims myself?

You, the shopper, should submit claims to the shop you purchased from. We encourage you to provide as much information as possible including dates, tracking numbers, and photo evidence (if applicable) so the retailer can submit their claim to us in a timely fashion.

Who will I be reimbursed by?

The shop you purchased from will decide on the manner of compensation if your claim is approved. This may take the form of a refund, replacement, or direct payment as appropriate.

I submitted a claim but haven’t received a response..

We ask our merchants be attentive and timely in responding to your claim requests.

  • In cases that involve free returns or price matching, we ask that you give our merchants 5 business days to respond
  • If your package has been lost or stolen, you should expect a response within 2 business days

Merchant FAQs

These questions apply to store owners who offer Parcelify Protect.

How is Parcelify Protect implemented on my shop?

Parcelify Protect will show up during rate selection. Each Protect offer is paired with a standard (non-protect) rate. For example, if you offered a Standard Shipping rate for $50, two rates would appear:

  • Standard Shipping $50
  • Standard Shipping (Protect) $52

How is the additional cost of Protect calculated?

Please see our Pricing and Billing section in our Merchant terms of service.

My customer just submitted a claim. What do I do now?

We ask that you acknowledge all Protect claims in a timely manner and are specifically bound to a response time in regards to parcel insurance.

  1. Open the Parcelify app
  2. In the left-hand menu under Parcelify, select Claims
  3. Click New claim in the top-right
  4. Select the appropriate claim reason (free return, price match, parcel insurance)
  5. Complete our claim form in as much detail as possible
  6. Submit the claim

Free returns and price match claims will be reviewed and discretionarily approved by the Parcelify team. Parcel insurance claims will be directed to our Shipsurance partner for further review.
